Come experience the magic!
We are excited to announce Backwards Broadway, a special fundraising event designed to support the continuation of our Musical Theatre Open Mic Night series. Our goal is to maintain accessibility and affordability for all participants, ensuring that these events remain a welcoming space for artists and audiences alike.
A Backwards Broadway Cabaret is where traditional gender roles in popular Broadway songs are reversed. In this unique concert, male songs are sung by women and female songs are sung by men, offering a fresh and often comedic twist on well-known musical numbers. The event will showcases up-and-coming musical theatre performers.
As you are aware, producing arts events in Toronto is becoming increasingly expensive, with rising costs affecting all aspects of production. This fundraising initiative will provide the necessary resources to sustain and grow our programming in the coming years. With your support, we hope to establish Backwards Broadway as an annual event, contributing to the continued vibrancy of the local arts community.
We are grateful for your consideration and look forward to the opportunity to celebrate the arts together while ensuring that these creative outlets remain accessible for years to come.
