You’ve found the perfect song now go deeper into the music. In this class you will learn how to emotionally connect to your chosen material and find the perfect acting moments for you. Whether it’s an audition song or something you’d like to do for a cabaret this class will take your song to the next level.

Whether you have a full audition book or none at all, this class will help you find all the right pieces for your voice. We will focus on filling any gaps you may have in your existing books. Or finding you the best pieces that should be in everyone’s, so you can walk into any audition.

This class is all about the basics. We’ll help you learn all the important things to look for in a song. From tempo to notations this class will give you a head start in learning all your songs from here on out.

Times are changing and in person auditions won’t be back for a while. Self tapes are being asked for more and more and you need to know how to create the perfect self tape. This class will help you with where to look, what equipment to use, lighting and everything in between.

All workshops will be held on Zoom.com. Please make sure you have download Zoom before the start of the workshop. The Zoom link will be sent out the day before and any worksheets that you will need. Each workshop is $20 and you can sign up for as many as you like or only the ones that you want to attend. Each workshop will have a link to buy your "ticket" for the workshop. These workshops are for anyone 14 years of age or older.

Mathew Mac Lean has been teaching for several years. He specializes in vocal coaching, vocal technique, belt technique and acting through a song. He has produced and directed multiple cabarets in Toronto and also helps direct musicals in elementary schools. When he's not directing or producing he's a featured soloist all over the world. Mathew has soloed for Vocal Mosaic, Singing Out and the Holland America Cruise Line. Mathew also has a true passion for musical theatre. Some of his favourite credits include Guys And Dolls, Brigadoon, Miss Saigon, The Rocky Horror Show, Curtains, The Drowsy Chaperone and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. Whether you're new to singing or an old pro Mathew can help get your voice to where you want it to be.
